Alumni
It is a matter of pride to the entire Stella Matutina
College of Education family that our college has been
accredited with five star status by NAAC. The alumni have
contributed significantly to the growth in the stature of
SMCE and for making known its reputation as a college providing
quality teacher education.
You may be aware that we are in the process of launching
a directory of SMCE alumni.
We have been holding frequent alumni get-togethers. There
were repeated requests from the alumni based in other cities
for such get-togethers. Hence, instead of confining it only
to Chennai based alumni, others too are welcome to join in.
Several formal and informal interactions are planned for
future. Your help and suggestions are requested to further
the activities of the Alumni Association.

Objectives
- To encourage the present day students to become effective
teachers by organizing seminars, workshops and National
Conferences.
- To bring together the ex-students of the college as often
as possible for their mutual benefit and for the benefit
of the college.
- To create funds and augment them for
o Helping needy pupils.
o Honouring teachers for the institution.
o Promoting Education.
o Carrying on Social Welfare Activities.
- To co-operate with other Association in the larger interest
of education.
Activities of the Alumni Association
- Seminars on Career Development were conducted during these
years.
- The ex-students expertise and experience were focused
on the present generation of future placements in the schools.
- Every year a general body meeting and two other meetings
are conducted to plan the future activities of the Association.
- The Association collaborates with the schools within
the campus for remedial coaching, tuitioning and socially
useful productive work.
- Every year the new graduates enrole themselves as eye
members of the Alumni Association.
- Many schools have visited the premises and ensured the
placement for the chosen trainees of our college all these
years.
- We exhibit the Advertisement or enclosed notice from
various schools at visible point for the recruitment of
Teachers at the earliest.
